I am an advanced clinical massage therapist and originally trained at St Mary’s University, London. I have done subsequent training at the Jing Institute for Advanced Massage Therapy. In the treatment of my patients I use a variety of different procedures, depending on the specific needs of the individual. Together with massage, this may also include the use of muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and soft tissue release. This combination is designed to help relieve tension and pain and to get a better range of motion for the impacted muscles.
Treating a variety of differing patients – I include not just those with sporting injuries but also bodies tired through the rigours of everyday modern life. As a frequent runner of long distances and a busy mum I understand the benefit and relief gained from having regular massage. It helps not only in the management of injury but also to avoid potential issues.
My work includes many sporting events treating weary runners, rugby players, footballers, cyclists and triathletes. Massage can also be greatly beneficial durning pregnancy.
